Overview
A premium quality paint for exterior wood and suitably primed metal, Sandtex® Trade Eggshell X-Tra Paint offers 10 years of durability and protection. Formulated to flex with the natural movement of the wood it provides superior resistance to flaking, peeling, and cracking. It will also withstand adverse weather conditions and contains UV inhibitors to protect against damage from the sun. This solvent-based paint gives a smooth, long-lasting finish on exterior joinery and metal, including wooden doors and window frames, wooden and metal gates, fences, and exterior timber.

Preparation
Always ensure the surface is clean, dry and free from anything that may affect adhesion.
- New wood - Apply one coat of .
- Greyed or weathered wood will need to be sanded back to a clean and smooth surface.
- New metal - ensure the metal is clean, dry and free from any residues then apply one coat of a Rust inhibiting primer and then apply one coat of .
- Previously painted surfaces - Clean the surface and abrade with wet and dry abrasive paper to provide a key. Apply one coat of .
Application
We always recommend performing a test patch to the surface to be decorated to ensure you are happy with the finished results.
- Always intermix packs to ensure a consistent colour.
- Stir well before use, and apply with a brush or roller.
- Allow 16 hours between coats, for best results apply 2 coats.
